| I have the honor to report
that during this present month I have issued transportation to 18623
persons {an average of 600 per day, requiring 30
cars per day}. |

As the payment of these increased rates will involve the
expenditure of about fifty per cent more than I have estimated for since
1 May I respectfully call attention to the fact and ask for instructions
as to whether I shall pay the increased rates. |
