Know all men by these presents that we Louis Palms as
principal, and George C. Laurason and Henry Joseph Ranney as sureties
all of the Parish of Orleans in the State of Louisiana, are held and
firmly bound unto the State of Louisiana in the full and just sum of Ten
Thousand Dollars, in lawful money, to which payment well and truly to be
made we bind ourselves jointly and severally, our joint and several
heirs, executors, & administrators firmly by these presents. Sealed with
our seals, and dated this Fifteenth day of February in the year one
Thousand Eight hundred and Sixty one. |
The condition of the foregoing obligation is such that
whereas the Governor of the State of Louisiana hath appointed the said
Louis Palms Register of the Land Office for the District of lands
subject to sale at New Orleans in the State of Louisiana. |
Now therefore, if the said Louis Palms has truly and
faithfully executed and discharged, and shall continue truly and
faithfully to execute and discharge all the duties of the said office,
according to Law, then the above obligation to be void and of no effect,
otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue. |
