| Your communication to the QrMr General
asking for an increase of Compensation for Govt transportation upon
road has been referred to me; |
| Before recommending any advance on your
present rates it will be necessary that you furnish me with a
statement of the receipts from carrying of your road for the Year
Ending 30 Sept 1864 ??? for the three months of your present fiscal
year the Govt will not make any advances on the
rates authorized to roads until such examination has been made and if
upon examination I grant your statement warrants it I will cheerfully recommend an increased compensation. |
