I appointed Mr. N. Crager
Transportation clerk, in place of T. J. Wooldridge removed to
Thomasville. Mr Crager gave up the office some six weeks ago, when I
prevailed upon Revd Mr Henry F. Hoyt, son of Revd Dl Hoyt of Athens to
take the place: Mr Hoyt has twice enlisted as a private in the army and
been for several months chaplain in it. |
He has been for years and is
now regular Pastor of the Presbyterian Church of this place and
consequently is not subject to conscription or militia duty. |
With your approval, I will
Appoint him Transportation Agent at Albany, with salary of Two hundred
Dollars per month, as per the circular from yr office. |
