Captain John C. Berry has served with me
and under my command at this place in the position of transportation
agent. |
It affords me sincere gratification to
have an opportunity of placing on record an acknowledgement of his worth
in a manner which I trust will prove beneficial to him. I have never
known so competent an officer in the transportation department as
Captain Berry. He is prompt, active vigilant obliging and indefatigable
always at his post. No order given to him has ever to be repeated and I
can conscientiously recommend him as a gentleman whose past service
deserves promotion. |
