| Having been intimately associated with
Capt. J. C. Berry, for several months, and such found him attentive to
the requirements of his trust, it gives me great pleasure to testify to
his efficiency, his energy, his fidelity, as an officer, and his well
known firm adherence to the interests of the Government. |

transactions, and particularly his courtesy to the Private soldier as
well as the officer, has rendered him an acknowledged favorite by all. |
