| About the first of this month, I forwarded
to you my bond and as I have received no information on its having gone
to hand, I take the liberty of asking whether or not it has ever reached
you safely. |
| Since I took charge of the duties at this
post, by your order of the 16 June last, I have not made any report to
your office. |
| Presuming that you were intimately
familiar
with the character of the business of this Post I did not deem it
necessary to do so. My duties consist entirely in ??ing &
forwarding government supplies and issuing coupons for same as well as
to soldiers. A True record of which I keep in my office, and which is
open to the inspection of any officer of your Dept at any time Up to
date I have kept everything moving promptly. |
