Dear Sir, |
Your favor of 21st only reached me today,
and I am just from the Conscript Bureau where I am informed that your
details will be ordered, through Col Mallett, until 1st July and from
1st July to 1st Jany. The Bureau, or rather the representative, says
that if you will give him the names of the men detailed for you and
exempted on other roads, the parties shall be returned. This is what I
told you, and though you promised me the names, you have never sent
them. |
Major Smith informs me that all the
accounts you have presented were paid, and I am at a loss to
understand what you are complaining about. |
Have just heard of a collision on Piedmont
road, but no engines named. What luck? |
Very Respy |
