Enclosed are papers relative to articles
lost by the Petersburg RRd Co. |
The only ground upon which this Co. asks
to be held harmless is "that the deficiencies were made up by
subsequent deliveries." |
If this position is correct, this company
must hold receipts for the missing articles, as it does not deliver
without taking them. I would therefore suggest that upon the
presentation of these receipts the claims be dismissed. If however, on
the other hand, these receipts are not presented and no other reason
is offered for the release claimed, I would suggest that this claim be
insisted upon. |
