The undersigned having been called upon to
estimate the value of a locomotive engine called the "Genl
Johnson" which engine was built by Mason of Taunton, Mass. 1859,
& is now on the track of the Richmond, Fredericksburg &
Potomac R. R. Co. have examined the same and agree that it is worth
under present circumstances & condition the sum of Eight thousand
dollars. |

Received Sept 24th 1861 of Thomas R. Sharp Agent for the
Quarter Masters Department of the Confederate States the above
mentioned Locomotive Engine Genl. Johnston at the Valuation above
mentioned of Eight Thousand Dollars, to be paid for to the Confederate
States in transportation to be done for the Government over this
Railroad. |
