On the 15th instant I addressed a letter
to Mr C. G. Talcott, the Supt of the Danville R Road, stating that
it became necessary for this Depart. to build a small house for
Storage at South Boston back of the Station house, on the opposite
side of the track, and next the River, and asking for permission for
it to be built if it would occupy ground of the Company. |
Since then Mr Talcott resigned his
position in consequence of which, no ???, I presume has been made in
the matter. |
I now submit the application for your
consideration; and as the immediate erection of the proposed
building is of great importance to this Dept, I beg leave to request
a reply at your earliest convenience. |
On the other side, please find copy of
the communication addressed to Mr. Talcott.
