Dear Captain, |
Yours of 27th ult. came duly to hand, &
as it related to myself I have not been able provisionally to answer
it, having unusually pressed on public duties. |
You will greatly oblige me by sending
the Haversack, & on its receipt I will forward you the price of the
same. If it could be arranged with two pockets, so as to keep any
paper sup??te from my hand, which is these tri?? we are forced to
carry, it would add greatly to my ???. But if this is impracticable,
please send it any how. |
If it be boxed, Maj. D. H. Wood will
furnish transportation for it. I receive my supplies from Richd in
this mode. |
Very truly, Your friend |
