| There is no order on the books
of this office assigning you to duty at Lynchburg; but the fact is well
known to Capt McCormick that you have been on duty at Lynchburg under
the order of this Dept as Transportation Agent for the past two years &
has been paid as such. Under the recent decision of the Sec of War, your
pay & allowances have been increased to those of a Captain of Infantry &
Capt McCormick is hereby directed to pay accordingly. |
