| I have received your letter of the 31st
ultimo, referring to the action of Assistant Quartermasters and
Assistant Commissaries, in impressing flour in your warehouses in
Augusta. |
| I infer that the action complained of
relates probably only to the Commissaries, as the article cited in your
letter, is flour; but I will direct Major Winnemore to report if the
Quarter Master's Department, at Augusta, has occasioned any
embarrassment to you, in this particular. |
