I have just received yours of the 12th
inst and feel great relief at the prospect of having the impediment to
the transportation of troops & supplies in the E. Tenn. & Va.
R. R. under your direction at last removed. You must not be interfered
with by any agent of the Government connected with this Department who
has been hitherto charged with looking after the transportation, and I
desire you to exhibit this letter to any agent who presents himself,
or in the least interferes with you, C. B. Wallace, if his services
are required returned. |
