We are notified by the N{itre}
& M{ining} Bureau that they
have the following amounts of iron at the places designated, which it
is important to have promptly brought to Richmond: 200 Tons at
Marion depot {on the Virginia & Tennessee
RR} & some two hundred tons at each of the following
furnaces in Wythe Co., Mi-Hope, J. W. Green & Co., Barren Springs,
David Grahm & Grey Eagle, Buford Cox & Co. |
The Q. M. Genl. wishes you to
give this matter your prompt attention to secure & furnish
transportation for this iron to this city. |
