| In reply to your letter of
August 26 I have to honor to state that bonded agents of Quartermasters
Dept are, under the decision of the Secy of War, entitled to the pay &
allowances of a Capt of Infantry. The allowances are Fuel, Quarters &
Rations & are to be allowed from the 1st of August 1864. |
