General, |
It has been represented to me
by the Officers of my Dept. that the proper conduct of R. Road
transportation is much interfered with by an order requiring all
detailed men to drill daily from 5 to 6 1/2 oclock P. M. The peculiar
and pressing necessity that exists for working all R. Road
transportation to the greatest advantage is so well known to you that
I the more readily ask of you, without further explanation, that the
order be relaxed so far as relates to all men continuously engaged in
R. R. service & that they be excepted from the order. |
