I have received your communication of the 19th inst
covering an account due the Savannah, Albany & Gulf Rail Road for
transportation of troops and supplies, amounting to $5,487.61. |
Similar accounts have been paid in
accordance with an understanding had with the several Rail Roads, upon
certificates given by the officers of the Companies, certifying the
number of men, and amount of freight transported over the various roads,
these certificates should be filed with the acct. in support of each
item of the account, if upon examination the several items are supported
by the evidence indicated you will submit an estimate for amount
required to pay the account. These accounts are payable in Bonds of the
Confederate States. The accounts are herewith returned to you. |
