| Your letter of the 8th instant has been
received. |
| In regard to the question you submit, I
state that if the produce is for consumption in Virginia, the better
plan would be to contract for it at the rates prescribed by the schedule
of the Virginia Commissioners. |
| This would be proper, in consideration of
the fact that the producer resides immediately upon the line between
Virginia and Tennessee. |
