I enclose herewith an article from a
Petersburg paper touching the conduct of one of the employees on the
Virginia & East Tenn. R. Road. The article may not be true, yet it
is proper, as your road is so important a one on the principal route
between the Southern and Northern limits of our Confederacy to bring
the subject to your notice, having no doubt whatsoever that you will
correct all abuses that may occur on your road. |
