I congratulate you that it has been your
good fortune to be present and participate in the glorious victory
over our enemies. Let me have the details as soon as you can collect
them. |
There is so much said of the delay caused
in the transportation of Troops from this place on account of the cars
being kept at Manassas that it is necessary to remove that cause of
complaint by sending all the cars back as soon as possible. |
If the Rail road hands are not enough to
unload the cars, give assistance to hasten that labor. Perhaps, too, a
turn out for the cars at Manassas would accelerate this movement, if
so let me know if you can have the work done, and the cost. |
