From my endorsement on the
papers submitted to me by the superintendent of the Virginia Central
Road and the President of the Orange & Alexandria Road to which your
communication of the 20th instant refers, it can only be inferred that
such special accounts as have received the approval of this office shall
be paid by you, and that the increased rates indicated are not to be
regarded as fixed. |
