Sir, |
Your several letters have been duly
received and appreciated. I now desire to trespass on your time for the
purpose of obtaining information on the subject of the manufacture of
clothing for the army. Grey wool cloth, shoes, socks of wool, flannel
shirts, cotton drawers, are the articles needed. Can all or any of the
things named be procured in your section and neighboring states and
manufactory of the articles be advantageously established in Knoxville?
Your prompt attention will oblige. |
