It has been represented to the President
of the Confederate States, that unnecessary delay occurs in
discharging Rail Road Cars of passengers, freight and baggage at the
terminus where you are stationed. Every detention of this kind is most
injurious to the public interest. You will take immediate measures to
secure the greatest promptness in relieving the Cars of their loads on
arriving, in order that they may make the return trip with the utmost
dispatch. |
