I have been received by reference from the Adjt
General, a letter from Capt A G Brinizer Ordnance Officer, at
Greensboro, in which the following passage occur, "I beg to call your
attention to the repeated detention of stores, on the Rail Road leading
from Richmond and especially the North Carolina Roads. At Raleigh there
is great difficulty in procuring cars, on which to load stores and when
they are obtained and loaded they are frequently allowed to remain there
one or two weeks." I call this matter to your attention that you may
report thereon and remedy the delay to the extent of your power. |
