| In addition to your duties as Qr Master in
charge of transportation at Richmond you are hereby assigned as
Inspector of Office Transportation for the Confederate States and will
report direct to this office. |
| At such times as the public interest may
require you will visit the various posts to correct irregularities and
see that the various orders are enforced and give such instructions as
may be necessary making reports of your actions to this office &
reporting your absence from Richmond in each case. |
| You will keep Lt. Col. E. E. McLean A. Q.
M. Genl. advised of any importunities you may observe on your
inspections. |
