It is impracticable for me to consider, or
adopt the view expressed in your letter of the 29th ultimo, respecting
the Rail Road Transportation of the Country. It is true, as you say,
that Colonel Wadley was rejected by the Senate; but Captain Sims has
been assigned to the special duty with which Colonel Wadley was
charged, which of course, precludes action on my part. |
