I am informed that troops and supplies are
accumulating at Lynchburg. Will you not give all the aid you can to
the Confederate States in its military operation by using every
appliance in your power to have ample transportation to bring off
supplies from Lynchburg, and if it is deemed necessary that you obtain
cars and motive power from the {Virginia} Central
road for use on yours. Should it be necessary to assist in
transporting baggage of troops from one Deport to the other in
Lynchburg and have it protected I will thank you to aid in this
likewise |
