If you deem it expedient, you can devolve
on Captain De Laigle, the duty of examining, and paying the Rail Road
accounts for Army Transportation. Or in your discretion you can
designate any other Quarter Master at the post for that duty. Be careful
to see, that the officer, in whose hands this matter is put, is fully
instructed as to the rates of payment and the rules of settlement, and
report to this office his name. |
