| I have received your communication of the
17th inst relative to the Equipment & Rails of the Seaboard &
Roanoke RR Co which the President of that road wishes to sell. |
| I have seen the Superintendent of the road
who has now gone to Weldon and will in a few days on his return report
to me the quantities of Rails & Equipment that he wishes to
dispose of. |
| I desire to purchase all the Rails and a
portion of the Equipment. |
