| I have received from the Commissary
General a notification that heavy shipments of Commissary supplies had
recently been made to points south of Petersburg. It is important that
they go forward promptly; and to that end I have to request that you
will direct that any cars due at Petersburg be not detained at
Goldsboro, but released for return with all possible dispatch. |
