Your report of shipments for
the week ending 31 March has been received. With an average daily
shipment of 1500 bags
of corn {10 car loads},
you report on hand this day 3,000 bags {about
20 car loads}. This accumulation cannot
be allowed, and I am ordered by the Qr Mr Genl to instruct you to
enforce the order of the Sec. of War and to stop both passenger trains,
until all government freight is sent forward from the depot. |
