| I am here with my leg broken.
Inform Genl Polk & say to him I was on my way to ch??ky to make
investigation. This road did not have sufficient hands until last
Tuesday. The whole road & Track will be in order from Meridian to
Brandon in 20 days if the weather is favorable. Roading says the
bridge will be complete in that time. The {Mississippi}
Central Rail Road will be
finished to Canton without delay. Send me some writing material, three
hundred Dollars & newspapers regularly. |
