Your communication of the 25th ultimo, was
duly received, and its statements, and suggestions have been considered. |
I have directed Major Hirsch Quarter
Master at Savannah to transmit to this office a report in regard to the
double transportation between that city and Macon. If it prove to result
from arrangements of the Quarter Master's Department, the evil will be
corrected at once. |
In regard to the other instances of
mismanagement, so far the action of this office can control them, they
will be reformed. |
