To Officers and Agents of QR. Mr. Dept.
and Officers of R. Roads between Richmond and New Orleans. |
Agents of the Navy Dept. are charged with
the duty of taking a shaft to New Orleans, it is of the most vital
importance that these gentlemen with the shaft proceed without any
interruption to their destination. Preference in transportation will
be given to them over everything else. |
It is ordered that all persons who have
authority over transportation on the route will give every assistance
in their power to effect prompt execution of this order. The shaft
will be taken in a special car to Charlotte N. C. where it will be
necessary to transship it. From Charlotte it will be taken in a
special car to New Orleans. The transportation will be by mail train
on the whole route. |
