| In addition to the instructions I issued recently
concerning the transportation of the remains of deceased soldiers, I
have to communicate the following extract from special orders No 254
received from the office of the Adjutant General. |
| "XV Hereafter the bodies of deceased soldiers will not
be transported home, except on the application of father, mother, son or
wife" |
