By order of the Quarter Master General, I
return herewith your letter of 28th ultimo, inviting your attention to
the several endorsements thereon. By reference to these you will see
that the Quarter Master General has done all in his power to further
your request, but as yet without immediate results. It is hoped,
however, that on Major Sims' return some definite arrangements may be
made securing to the Rail Roads a certain proportion of out-going
Cotton. |
