Quartermaster General's Office |
Richmond, Decr 5th 1862 |
|
Hon James A. Seddon |
Secretary of War |
|
Sir, |
I respectfully recommend L. R.
Lucas for the appointment of Assistant Quartermaster with the rank of
Captain. |
Mr. Lucas has been sir more
than a year, a bonded agent of the Quartermaster's Department, and well
merits the appointment. He is familiar with the duties at Bristol, Tenn.
where he has been stationed, and as it is deemed advisable to have an
officer at that post, I recommend his promotion as having been earned by
faithful and energetic service. |
I am, Sir, |
Very Respectfully |
Yr obt sevt |
