Sir, |
The trains upon all the southern roads for
some days to come will be required for Military purposes. I therefore
request that you order the Provost Marshalls at all points between
Richmond and Augusta via Charlotte, and between Richmond and
Charleston via Wilmington, to issue no more passports for Richmond
except to persons in military service returning to their commands, or
under orders, this restriction to continue for six days after the
receipt of the order. |
