| The attention of this Department has been
drawn to the fact that corn is purchased along the line of the Mobile
& G. R. R. {Mobile & Girard RR},
carried to Columbus, thence to Montgomery, and thence back over the
same Road {the Montgomery & West Point RR} to
the Army in Northern Georgia. This should not be, but corn arriving in
Columbus should be sent direct to Atlanta. You will order your Agents
accordingly. |
