| Referring to your letter of 11th ins.
enclosing the statement of Capt Oliver, relative to his continuance on
duty after the acceptance of his resignation, I herewith enclose a copy
of my letter of 2 Aug. last to Capt C. C. Sims aqm directing him to
relieve Capt Oliver of Transportation duties. You are requested to
ascertain & report why the instructions therein contained were not
carried out. |
