The {Virginia} Central
Rail Road cannot furnish transportation for the four Regiments to
Manassas. They are directed to march from their present position to the
Manassas Gap {rail} road, thence to
Manassas. I wish you to furnish the necessary wagons, say fifty wagons,
& teams to remain with those Regiments. Direct the wagons hauled as far
as possible before going on the Rail Road. Reply. |
