| I refer to you for your action the
inclosed letter from Mr. H. W. Vandergrift General Superintendent of
the Orange & Alex{and}r{ia} Rail Road in regard to the transfer of an
Engine from the {Virginia} Central Road. |
| I also call your attention to the
difficulty in the transfer of Government freight from the Depot of the
Richmond & Petersburg R. R. at Petersburg to that of the
Petersburg RR materially impeding the transportation of ordnance &
ordnance stores to the south. Capt. Brown agent is stationed at Peteg
with whom you can communicate in regard to this matter. |
