| You are assigned to the duty of collecting forage --
corn, sheaf oats and hay on the line of the Raleigh & Gaston Rail Road,
and at Clarksville Virginia. Have the forage bagged and bailed
convenient for transportation to Richmond or other points that may
hereafter be designated. |
| You will apply to Captain E. B. Branch for bailing
machines to be supplied from Petersburg -- he is the Quarter Master at
that place; or you may purchase the machines if you can procure them
elsewhere more speedily. |
| The prices you pay will be regulated by the fair market
rates. Funds will be remitted you on your estimates to meet the
necessary disbursements. |
