| I enclose herewith the claims of David
Bessit and W. Gill the former for building the Rail Road connection in
the city of Richmond $22,180 and the latter for services as Chief
engineer for 67 acys at $8 pr acy $536 and an additional ? of $21 for
cash paid sundry persons employed in the Engr Corps on said road where
receipts are not filed. |
| I transmit the contract under which the
work was performed by Mr. Bessit and which I have to request you will
please forward to the Comptroller of the Treasury. |
