Clear instructions were issued some time ago. With
regard to transportation. The circular designated for whom and what
transportation was to be furnished and also in what cases it was to be
withheld. The law makes no allowance to officers for servants and their
transportation must remain a matter of private arrangement between the
officer and the Rail Road Company, as I have no authority to go beyond
Law. In their charges the companies I think should be as moderate as
possible. Officers are entitled to transportation for the horses allowed
them by reulation. |
