| Transportation is desired by Captain
Myers, Engineer in charge of the construction of the Piedmont Rail
Road for forty (40) negroes and one (1) white man from West Point,
Georgia, to Greensboro, North Carolina, via Columbia, South Carolina. |
| You are hereby instructed to furnish this,
or any other similar transportation, promptly, upon the requisition of
Captain Myers, as if on Government account -- the cost of
transportation, however, to be paid by the Piedmont Rail Road Company. |
