| The Secretary of War directs me to say
that he requires two ambulance cars comfortably fitted up for the
transportation of the sick of the Army from Manassas to the Hospitals
of Charlottesville and Richmond. These cars will be required to run
with the mail train. It is important that they be fitted out as soon
as possible; and I request you to report to me when they are ready. |
