| On the 25th you write that you propose to send wagons
and teams to your Quarter Masters at Bristol, to this the Quarter Master
General directs me to reply that to send across the country is too
unsafe to be attempted, and to send around by rail can by no means be
permitted. The sum of this letter was transmitted to you by telegram
yesterday. |
